When Y Comes to Town

Or should the title say when Y comes to the city? However we work that out, I am just glad to say that a welcome development has come to the City of Butuan, where I have been resident for 7 years now. Y hotel is now in the city and I say that’s good news 🙂

It’s good news because the hotel and its management definitely show more than a promise of a great stay in the city. My husband and I could see that for ourselves as we were invited to its opening and blessing just this morning.

It’s blessing and opening day of Y hotel.

After a lovely breakfast courtesy of a chef who has served in a Manila-based restaurant for 15 years, we had the privilege along with other guests of hearing how the hotel was a dream that took 10 years to come to pass. Atty. Louella ‘Wing’ Mendoza Yu narrated how her husband, Terence, had long dreamed of building and running a hotel in the city. And yes, we heard her acknowledge God’s guidance and provision of all that was needed to finally open the doors of this hotel.

Atty. Wing sang along with the TJFM music team a song acknowledging God’s awesomeness during Y hotel’s opening.

As Atty. Yu introduced the manager of the hotel, we were very pleased to know that he has had good management and training experience (well, aside from the fact that he sings really well and has very good people skills). This simply means that guests as well as would-be-guests will be treated well at Y hotel.

And so we had great food which is a reminder for you, reader, to come and enjoy a meal or coffee at Y eat, the hotel restaurant. We loved the look and promised comfort of the rooms 🙂  And we say they are reasonably priced. They have rooms for single, double and triple occupancy; they also have rooms for a family of 6. Your stay includes free breakfast; there’s also free wi-fi connection 🙂

I could say more but there’s nothing like visiting the place for yourself 🙂 Do come and check out Y hotel along South Montilla Boulevard whenever you’re in our historic city of Butuan.

We love the lights and the minimalist look of Y hotel.
You have every reason to come and dine at Y eat 🙂

Y hotel also has a place for your meetings & events.

We simply love this area on the way to the rooms.
